To tell the truth i don't usually trust reviews from sites that only review one consoles games. Sure i'll read them but i'll take them with a big, huge grain of salt.
Gamepro editors/reviewers just rate games on how fun they are. A 4 out of 5 is a good game but just a good game on their rating scale. They are lenient with all scores and that's what i like about them. When something usually gets a 3.25 or 3.50 and lower you know to stay away from them. Any higher scores and it's a generally fun/good game.
Doesn't change my opinion though that Too Human appeals to me as much as Haze did. Which is not at all and both of them looked bad to me. I ...
Because he IS the leader for the Too Human project as far as spreading out the word etc. He's just doing his job. What do you want him to come out and say "Our game is average but very fun. You should rent it or buy it when the game comes down in price."
Oh that's a good catch.
*Laughs* Keep these comments coming fella's. This is why i read the open zone. TEH BIASED REVIEWS!1!1!1!
@giantenemycrab: I agree and that's sad. As little as Too Human appeals to me i have alot of respect for Dennis Dyack. Besides SK made made one of my favorite games of all time in Soul Reaver.
I won't say that i "told you so about this being the 360's haze". Instead i'll just say that if you liked the demo, f*** what the reviews said. I liked Dark Sector and it got mediocre reviews.
In my opinion having a preprietary hard drive in the first place was a bad idea. I don't want to spend a $100 for a 20 gig hard drive or more for a hard drive that'll only work with my console. From a consumer standpoint it's screwing me over. It's why i dislike preprietary usb charge cables for MP3 players. I don't lose my wires but what about if it f's up? I have to spend more money on probably a inflated price of a preprietary wire when i could just use one of my spare usb cords to get the...
How exactly do they have to be upgraded? Do you mean firmware wise or hardware wise?
Yes the Microwave part takes a honorable 2nd place for me. There's never been anything like that before that i experienced in a game. To see Snake crawling and dragging himself trying to will himself through the experience. It's all determined on how much you the player want him to succeed as well and you have the Mark 3 cheering you on. While at the bottom of the screen you see your comrades struggling to survive as well. A very potent scene. Dare i say even revolutionary for gaming given th...
I loath this guys role as sasuke. Not that he does a bad job (he does a great job) but that's the point. Sasuke is a d*** and the voice i associate him with the most. He does do alot of other anime roles (and i do mean alot) but i hate that got damn sasuke voice. Did amazing work in PoP.
Mid to high 70's is my guess. But i could be wrong.
I got a little misty eyed in *SPOILER FOR MGS4 AHEAD*
When Raiden saves snake from that giant ship. Not really that he cut off his own arm (which was badassed) but what he said. When he screamed out "Rose" after all that emotional disconnect he displayed it was a amazing moment in gaming for me. I think anyone who's ever really loved someone and ever longed to be with them despite certain things would definitely correlate with that scene.
I was totally stoked about the game and screenshots i seen. Then i seen the gameplay footage and noticed how much i didn't like the 3rd person view. I don't really like first person perspective and from what i seen at e3 it looks more like a shooter than RPG. More of a FPS/RPG hybrid and less of a RPG with good combat. I don't know but now it just seems a little so-so to hold my attention. I'll wait to see more gameplay video's of it before my final decision though.
Damn i know you wasted all your bubbles already but i have to agree with you to an extent. MGS3 is still the best to me because of the survivalist twist to the gameplay along with more emphasis on stealth. There's still stealth in MGS4 but it takes a unfortunate backseat priority to the action bits. I also feel the same way about the boss fights because they feel like they lost their magical touch. Besides maybe the fight with laughing octopus. MGS4 still is a 9.5 in my eyes because the plot ...
I completely agree. You are rewarded for being stealthy and having as little casualties as possible. I think that kind of says something. Though it is still fun to cqc someone to the floor after knocking on the wall. I still prefer Big Boss over Snake though, he had more depth to him.
Infamous to me is looking like next years Uncharted. I think it might take quite a few people by surprise with how good the game is. I wasn't expecting Uncharted to be that good and only got it because well i didn't have anything else to get. Totally blew me away, i think Infamous can do that next year as well.
It doesn't bother me anymore. You'll get disagreed with for anything you say here unless it's really funny and even then some people don't get it and will disagree with you. I don't mind it at all really it's just a matter of disagreeing with someone else's opinion or not.
I do believe though that last year it was "how long can the Ps3 hold out before it tanks". Now i think the feeling is more of "alright so where is the Ps3 exactly going to be?". The Ps3 has...
I don't really have much of an opinion about this article but i do agree with one line at the end. "It is no longer a question of how long the PS3 will survive, but rather, where will the machine take us next". I think that sums up the Ps3 pretty well.
Mirrors Edge
Prince of Persia
Street Fighter 4
I'll probably already have LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3 is a maybe from me.
